Although born in India, I was raised and schooled in the UK. I am now settled in Sweden, having lived here on and off since 1984. Educationally, I have a technical/economics BA (fil.kand) & a post-graduate teaching qualification from the UK, as well as a Fil. Kand (English major) from Umeå University. I teach net based courses at A, B & C level, such as: Grammar, Linguistics, Children's Language Acquisition, Language History, Sociolingustics, & ICT for Language Tecahers. Just now, my academic interests are concerned with ICT blended learning environments which incorporate modern day IT tools for learning and teaching. More specifically, I am interested in student generated content for university courses. In September 2008, I started a position as ICT consultant at the Faculty of Humanities at Umeå University. My mandate is to guide and consult with staff so as to help them use and embrace modern technology for their own learning/teaching/admin. In 2011, I started an eLearning/ICT consultancy for schools/universities, companies & organisations. My company Nordic Interactive Solutions provides Moodle hosting, ICT workshops, web tools for learning, teaching, research collaboration, online surveys and virtual meetings.
